A brief and sentimental view of what the appearence and early works of Bob Dylan was maybe like to some. I definitely had good exposure to that group of contemporary artists who were on the threshold of new dangers and hope that American society was facing in those days, during and between wars and racial unrest. As a newly liberated teenager of the late sixties I was exploring relationships, ideas and trying to avoid a hail of bullets being offered to me for the possible esteem my serving or dead brothers cousins and uncles were barely achieving. So the voices of folk music crying with the stolid but tradition bound soul of people eventually embracing the power of electric instrumentation to raise a voice above the bombs falling on foreign cities and the truncheon beating down upon our brothers at home. Dylan was one of those feeling and freeing the shift. For the love of Bob, this is a well done and somewhat understated movie.
