there are forces always looking
for the next messiah and the next
events along the ring of fire
miracles and revelations
no realistic sin (they say)
just human error
tom the drum
the day to come will
sure to show peril
of cursing your self
for not seeing
reality has grinding edges
there for shredding
hiding the real injury
oppression …was spiritual
and conviction and adherence to dirty words
while drafty castles glisten with the rain
coming in. the ending
crude and stupidly cool
it’s all just a party to him
with his cranes and
his cameras and microphones
to capture hints of plots
to take all his toys and fake money
and fake news away
until tomorrow so we can
start again
god, are we in a war?
are we out of one yet?
I thought adults were better at this.
