There are many things that have lead to my desire and understanding of this question… Why are we superstitious creatures?
Short answer, pain, and fear of detected or undetected danger to our body, well being and society.
I think all stories, myth, religion, politics etc revolve around our past, contemporary or projected dangers and our search for favorable relief, psychological ease and feeling of safety.
To contribute to our ease we seek pleasure, fun, wealth and ritual, (oh, and positive thinking), all distractions from our eventual demise.
Energy levels or “vibe” can influence who we friend and activities we engage in.
Many advertising magics engage our desire for community power and security.
There are stratifications of societal and family magics to conceptually engage and protect each tier.
The truth is entangled in the magic of hard and soft lies.
[Bible] [History] [Institutions] may or may not have lead to Favorable shifts in human behavior.
Maybe the only original sin/(mistakes) we have is inherited lies.
Therefore I may postulate we exist and co-exist because we are lies.
